Early Childhood Staff
Jill Kitzmiller - Early Childhood Special Education Teacher
I attended UW-Whitewater and graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education. Upon graduation I got my first teaching job at Lakeland School in Elkhorn. I taught there for 10 years. During those ten years I returned to UW-Whitewater to get my Masters degree in Cognitive Disabilities. In the fall of 2008, I was hired by Elkhorn to start a program for Early Childhood students in their local school.
My husband Ryan is the Technology Education teacher at Lakeland School. We have one son and a daughter who keep us very busy. We enjoy living Elkhorn and being part of this great community. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, reading, shopping, and traveling.
I feel my role at Jackson Elementary is to direct the efforts of assistants, communicate with therapists, parents, etc… to ensure that your child’s needs are being met. Everyday is a new learning experience for me. I feel I learn something everyday from your child, you, and various staff members I work with. Please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime if you have any questions or concerns.
